don't be gel be reem.

hey dolls, So i'm sure you've seen the barry m gellly nail varnishes all over the blogosphere but i thought i'd do a little review about them seen as though i own a few. Ok so firstly i own five of them in the colors, "blue grape", "blood orange", "mango", "satsuma" and"lychee" When these first came out i knew i had to try them but they didn't have a huge range of colors to choose from so i left it a couple weeks and they brought out a few more colors. (They now have some really cute summery pastel colors). Ok so lets get to the nitty gritty, They retail at £3.99 but boots usually have offers on so look out for those. The first thing i noticed when i applied this is how opaque the color was you only need one coat to get the color to stand out, They do take a while to dry though so be prepared to sit with your hands in the air for a good 10 minutes (story of my life) however i've not tried any fast spray or seche vite on top to speed up the process. after they've finally dried they look so shiny and clean looking which thrilled me. For me these are let down by their staying power I found they chipped after the first day and by the fourth day i had to re-do my whole nails because they were very chipped, also something i found strange was that "blue grape" smelt absolutely vile! The rest of the varnishes smelt like normal nail varnishes but the blue grape one smelt very dodgy i don't know if it's just mine or if all the blue ones smell like that but that would put me off buying it again. overall i'm half and half with these i like the colours, the shine the price but just wished they stayed on longer :(.
so that's it for now,
let me know if you've tried them,
what did you think of them??
:) xx
