don't be gel be reem.

hey dolls, So i'm sure you've seen the barry m gellly nail varnishes all over the blogosphere but i thought i'd do a little review about them seen as though i own a few. Ok so firstly i own five of them in the colors, "blue grape", "blood orange", "mango", "satsuma" and"lychee" When these first came out i knew i had to try them but they didn't have a huge range of colors to choose from so i left it a couple weeks and they brought out a few more colors. (They now have some really cute summery pastel colors). Ok so lets get to the nitty gritty, They retail at £3.99 but boots usually have offers on so look out for those. The first thing i noticed when i applied this is how opaque the color was you only need one coat to get the color to stand out, They do take a while to dry though so be prepared to sit with your hands in the air for a good 10 minutes (story of my life) however i've not tried any fast spray or seche vite on top to speed up the process. after they've finally dried they look so shiny and clean looking which thrilled me. For me these are let down by their staying power I found they chipped after the first day and by the fourth day i had to re-do my whole nails because they were very chipped, also something i found strange was that "blue grape" smelt absolutely vile! The rest of the varnishes smelt like normal nail varnishes but the blue grape one smelt very dodgy i don't know if it's just mine or if all the blue ones smell like that but that would put me off buying it again. overall i'm half and half with these i like the colours, the shine the price but just wished they stayed on longer :(.
so that's it for now,
let me know if you've tried them,
what did you think of them??

15 second miracle..

Hey ladies, A while ago I received a sample of the DHC cleansing oil in my glossybox and absolutely loved it! I constantly used it until it ran out, little old me thought no biggy i'll just buy another one.. then i realised it was £21.50 and i couldn't bring myself to pay that much! as amazing as it was i thought to myself there has to be something just as brilliant out there much cheaper right? correct. Say hello to my new best friend, L'oreal paris 15 second miracle cleansing oil.  I bought this little beauty about 3 weeks ago and have used it everyday since! I bought it from boots for £7.99 which is a very reasonable price considering the small amount you need and the amount you get in the bottle. I use this on dry skin with a full face of makeup, you only need 3 pumps to cover your whole face and then once worked into the skin just wipe it off with a cloth and voila! all traces of makeup are gone! When you wash it off the water in the sink will turn white so be prepared for a messy sink and when you take it off your eyes your vision seems cloudy but this happens with most oil cleansers and only lasts a few seconds. I Have oily skin so was very wary about putting more oil on my face but it wasn't greasy at all and didn't make my face any oilier, it leaves my skin feeling so soft and it takes less than a minute to remove all my makeup! i don't have a bad word to say about this cleanser and would definitely recommend it!
let me know if you have tried it or if there's something similar you're loving!

sleek liquid illuminator review.

Hey ladies,
This is a review on the oh so glamorous sleek glisten me liquid illuminator, Now I've been a big fan of highlighter/illluminators for a while now but I've only ever used powders. Any how i bought this months ago tried it once couldn't get to grips with using a liquid so slipped it back in my draw and forgot all about it. Oh how wrong i was to do so! I noticed it in my draw a few weeks ago and thought i'd give it whirl see if i could get the hang of it, i tried using my fingers and used different brushes and sponges to see which gave the best result, i found it worked well with my beauty blender then i used my real technique expert face brush then to go on and realise it worked amazingly with my real techniques contour brush! HALLELUJAH!!! now i've found the perfect brush to pair it with and have got the hang of it i haven't left the house without this baby on my face! i absolutely love it! The highlight itself is very gold in color it looks quite frightening in the bottle but on the face comes out very subtle. The main concern for me was it looking oily, now i have oily skin so the thought of putting a liquid highlighter on my skin was terrifying i thought it might make my skin looks even more oily than it already it or being a liquid i thought it might feel greasy but it doesn't and it just looks glowing. I cant wait for summer when i have a tan i think it will look GORGEOUS! The bottle itself is a bog standard 30ml bottle but because you need the tiniest little bit this will last you months and months!! :) I've did the "how long does it stay on my face" test and i worked from 8 in the morning till 5 at night last week and when i left work it looked the same as it did when i first applied it. yippeee!! when i apply it daily to my face i put it on my cheekbones, cupids bow, and my tear duct but if i'm going out after work i'll pop it down my nose, on my brow bone and also if you're wearing a dress you can pop it on your legs or collarbones for that oh so glamorous shimmer. Now i can't find this on the sleek website anymore i don't know if they've stopped stocking it (i bloody hope not!) or if they're just out of stock but you can get this on amazon and ebay for about £5/£6
so check it out and let me know if you love this as much as i do!
:) xx
