DIY floral crown

hey ladies so a couple of weeks ago i was on Izzies blog when i came across a diy floral crown so yesterday i was out shopping and came along a hobby croft so i popped in and seen these gorgeous flowers they were only £1.99 for a pack of 20. This diy is so easy to do so here a step by step

  1. buy some flowers from a craftshop i got these foam flowers from hobbycraft for £1.99
  2. buy a headband (i used an old headband and chopped the bow off)
  3. wrap your wire from the flower around the headband
  4. start from the middle so you it's more even
  5. VOILLA! done, yes it really is that easy
you can buy different sized flowers from craft shops i might make an even bigger head crown in a couple of weeks. Also you can sew or glue the flowers on if you want extra stability but i think they are fine just wrapped around like i did. So that's it! i'm now off out to rock my new headcrown!  ;)

April glossy box.

hey ladies, another month gone another (beautiful) box opened. Yes you guessed it.. glossybox. Now Glossybox is a hit and miss box sometimes it's full of tiny samples that i'd never use where as other times it's full of things i love or have wanted to try but never got round to. Todays box was fairly good so i thought i would include it in my blog but if i'm being completely honest the main reason it's on here is because of the box. HOW PRECIOUS IS THE GLOSSYBOX ITSELF THIS MONTH! Now hand cream isn't really my thing because my hands aren't dry at all so opening a box to find hand cream i find boring :( but the rest of the box is great! I received an essie nail varnish in the shade "we're in it together" which i think is adorable it will look cute in the summer its a baby pink color it looks like it has specks of holographic glitter in it (does that make sense? I hope so) the next thing in the box was an illamasqua medium pencil in the shade "thrash" now this claims that you can wear it on your eyes lips face and body but taking into consideration the colour which is BRIGHT orange i could only wear it on my lips but this would be good for drawing on your face and body if you're going to a festival! but day to day life i wouldn't use this anywhere other than my lips. I also recieved a nip + fab body butter in "pistachio sundae" which smells STRONG! it feels lovely on the body and sinks into your skin but the smell does linger and smell very nutty. ironic. And last but not least i got a sample of perfume "SO FLIXIR PURPLE" by yves rocher and it smells divine it smells very summery and light it's not over powering because there's nothing worse than a strong perfume that gives you a headache! just me? ok. Well that's it for now just a little insight to my glossybox and my thoughts on them. I hope you liked this

sleek liquid illuminator review.

Hey ladies,
This is a review on the oh so glamorous sleek glisten me liquid illuminator, Now I've been a big fan of highlighter/illluminators for a while now but I've only ever used powders. Any how i bought this months ago tried it once couldn't get to grips with using a liquid so slipped it back in my draw and forgot all about it. Oh how wrong i was to do so! I noticed it in my draw a few weeks ago and thought i'd give it whirl see if i could get the hang of it, i tried using my fingers and used different brushes and sponges to see which gave the best result, i found it worked well with my beauty blender then i used my real technique expert face brush then to go on and realise it worked amazingly with my real techniques contour brush! HALLELUJAH!!! now i've found the perfect brush to pair it with and have got the hang of it i haven't left the house without this baby on my face! i absolutely love it! The highlight itself is very gold in color it looks quite frightening in the bottle but on the face comes out very subtle. The main concern for me was it looking oily, now i have oily skin so the thought of putting a liquid highlighter on my skin was terrifying i thought it might make my skin looks even more oily than it already it or being a liquid i thought it might feel greasy but it doesn't and it just looks glowing. I cant wait for summer when i have a tan i think it will look GORGEOUS! The bottle itself is a bog standard 30ml bottle but because you need the tiniest little bit this will last you months and months!! :) I've did the "how long does it stay on my face" test and i worked from 8 in the morning till 5 at night last week and when i left work it looked the same as it did when i first applied it. yippeee!! when i apply it daily to my face i put it on my cheekbones, cupids bow, and my tear duct but if i'm going out after work i'll pop it down my nose, on my brow bone and also if you're wearing a dress you can pop it on your legs or collarbones for that oh so glamorous shimmer. Now i can't find this on the sleek website anymore i don't know if they've stopped stocking it (i bloody hope not!) or if they're just out of stock but you can get this on amazon and ebay for about £5/£6
so check it out and let me know if you love this as much as i do!

naughty lulu

Hey ladies, so i've been very good lately and i haven't bought anything for myself in a while but yesterday i popped into town and ended up buying quite a few things and treated myself. Oops.
I seen these rings in newlook a while ago and loved them but £7.99 for four rings is a bit steep (I think so anyway) but when i nipped in yesterday they had buy on get one free on ALL jewellery so i actually got eight rings for £7.99 which sounds much better don't you think? Then i popped to boots and picked up this vichy cleansing gel, my skin has got very bad lately and i've heard great things about vichy so i had to pick something up there was a few other products i liked the sound of from vichy which i might pick up next week. then i got a couple sleek lipsticks from, wait for it.... POUNDLAND yes you heard right, poundland sell sleek lipstick. I also bought a couple sleek pout paints i've heard great things about these so had to try them for myself and i tested them last night and WOW! the pigmentation is incredible and they glide on your lips first impressions are very good! I bought some quinoderm which is a "behind the counter" thang! I used to use this but didn't notice an improvement in my skin until i was reading someone blog last week (i can't remember who's dammit) and they said how it's their holy grail product and they raved and raved about it so i thought i would buy it again only this time be a little more patient and give it some time to work with my skin. Fingers crossed it works. then i got a few other bits and bobs which i won't talk about because this was supposed to be a short "look what i bought" post but instead i rambled on and now it's not so short. sorry. Any how that's all for now i hope you liked this.
have you tried any of these products?

lipstick dupes.

mac candy yum yum - sleek amped
unfortunately I dont know the name of either of these because the labels have worn off i think the barry m lipstick is
in the shade 116 or 118 but i'm not certain which is a shame because these are an EXACT dupe that would save you £10!
i will try and find the names of these out and let you know soon.
mac fetish - sleek blaze
collection 2000 mudslide - sleek mulberry
the left one looks a little more purplier (is that a word? no? it is now) but they are a dupe they just show up different colors.
sleek cherry - nivea berry charms
mac so chaud (my favorite lipstick ever) rimmel kate moss 111 mixed with gosh flirty orange 153
you can buy these 2 lipsticks for the price of one mac lipstick BONUS  ;)
mac snob - rimmel kate moss 101

So these are just a few dupes i discovered and i love looking at dupe blogs or youtube videos but there aren't many about at the minute. A lot of people can't afford or just don't want to pay £14 for a lipstick especially when you can get a very similar one for a quarter of the price. I also seen another dupe for mac candy yum yum which is always sold on of my local mac store, i'll have to buy it and compare them because it was only £1.99 which is ridiculous. so i hope you liked this and i'm sorry it's a bit all over the place but i'm so tired, i was going to put this post up tomorrow but i haven't blogged in a few days so thought i'd do it quickly today so do forgive any sloppiness (i hate that word, sloppiness, ew) that's all for now.
hope this was useful :)

real technique brushes.

Hey lovelies, so  I have jumped on the bandwagon (ALL ABOARD) of real technique brushes. I bought my first RT brush about a year ago and it was the "expert face brush" and i fell in love, this was the first branded makeup brush i'd brought so it was obviously a huge step up from my non branded cheap brushes. They are so soft and apply my makeup so flawlessly and easy they would be brilliant for sensitive skin because the bristles aren't harsh! As soon as i tried it i knew i wanted more of them, infact i wanted to collect them all and look after them like tiny little hairy babies and name them all and take them everywhere with me :/ anyway for christmas my mother bought me the core collection which again i loved and use them everyday, so a while ago i was browsing victorias blog (my favorite blog) when she did a post on these brushes and she posted a link to a shop in america that sells them for half the price. Now i was very wary about buying them at first because i thought it sounds too good to be true the shipping must be ridiculously overpriced (IT WASN'T), they could be fake (THEY'RE NOT) or they could charge me a ton of shipping at my door like some places do (WHICH THEY ALSO DIDN'T) they arrived within 2-3 weeks of ordering and 2 days ago arrived at my house and i am so happy! I bought the "starter set" the "powder brush" "fine liner brush" and "blush brush" it came to $38(including shipping) which converts to £25!! so for £25 i got all of the brushes which i have pictured. Whereas if you bought all those brushes in the uk it would add up to £51!!!
so i got them for half price! CLICK HERE to go to the site and check out the brushes. I would definitely recommend them and For the time being i can't see myself using any other makeup brushes :)
So check them out and let me know what you think

rimmel apocalips lip lacquer review

nude eclipse - 600

galaxy - 301

apocaliptic -303

big bang - 400

Hey lovelies so unless you've been living under a rock lately you'd of heard of rimmels new apocalips lip lacquers. First thing i'd like to say is WOW! the pigmentation is amazing they are so bright the pictures don't do them justice! The darker shades are slightly more opaque than the lighter ones but they all impressed me none the less. They are very creamy (but not sticky) and don't dry my lips out at all. They're a very strange texture that I've not seen before it's not a lipstick, lipgloss or a lip cream, but i like it, it looks great and they're only £4.99 so i'm not complaining. The packaging is very sleek easy throw in your bag packaging. I really like the wand on the lacquer It's a typical lip gloss wand thingy majiggy (note to sell find better describing words.) but it has a dip in the middle of the tip which wipes away excess so enables you to use as much or as little product as you want! This lasts on my lips for around 4 hours before it needs another coat (darker colors leave a slight stain on the lips but that happens with most other dark lip products so this didn't bother me) The only negative thing i have to say is that there's not a huge range of colors, in my local boots they have about 8 colors but hopefully this is just because they're new and will bring out a wider range of colors but apart from that i'm really happy i bought these and will definitely be picking up a few more colors.

Have you tried these?? What do you think?
